"20 years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the things you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the harbour. Catch the trade winds in you sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain

You Reap What You Sow

Do you believe in karma?

Actually, you know what? You don't have to. All you need to know is that whatever you sow is whatever you reap.

Why did I bring this up?

I was reading Randy Gage's "37 Laws of Prosperity", 1 of 5 books in his "Prosperity Series", and I was kinda irked when I read Laws #1, You Can't Out Give the Universe, which basically says that the universe always gives back to you tenfold, and #19, The Universe always gets it's tithe.

Rule #19 basically means that if you don't give and return gratefully back to the universe, it will still take it's share back from you...in one way or another. Note that it isn't asking for a sacrifice. It's more on the lines of '...remember to be grateful ok? don't take what I gave for granted..."

Now, why am I irked? I think it's because I am reminded by how generous I was when I was much younger. Whenever anybody needed help, I would do so selflessly. Need a donation? I MADE SURE I donated as high as, if not more than most of my more generous peers. Then, I realise that over the years, I became...less generous...and I noticed that the moment that started, my life kinda started going downhill as well. I needn't worry about money then, life was very abundant. That doesn't seem to be the case nowadays.

I guess it's again another reminder that we must be grateful for what we already have and that sometimes, it's not the amount you give, but the act of giving that's important.
